Heart and Sol

silhouette of newly wedded couple

In the darkest part of my life

You shone on my strife

When all was lost

And I cared not the cost

You rose to meet me

With roses to greet me

In the coldest of my days

When the wind caused me to sway

When the winter night blew

And I saw no way through

You came and lit my dark

Showing a contrast so stark

When I held candles to the wind

And the wind willed my light to end

Your radiance illuminated where

Before dare not share

You shown and showed me differently

Shadows danced in my periphery

But you overheard my cries

Overhead you did rise

Banish the dark

Banish reality stark

Warmth in my heart

Like the fire in my hearth

The darkness you have stole

You are my heart and Sol
