“I can. I will. I must”
I was thrust into trust
Of the process
I gave reciprocity
And the atrocity
That cost me
Was ostentacious
Audacious
In this time of losing
faith of men choosing
To abstain and refrain
From entraining and entertaining
I taught myself
To love myself
Trust myself
to self delve
Into self help
Self health
It was the hardest time
of my life time, no life lines
And ET the Hip Hop Teacher
Reached my ear, beseeched here
His message was clear
I listened to it on repeat to hear
Let it sink in
Think it to link it
To my habits, my behavior
A self-love, love labor
Now it’s engrained and I trust
“I can. I will. I must.”
His mantra I repeat
To engrain was no easy feat
My realization was nonplussed
“I can. I will. I must.”
