Today is a day of remembering
Not just the Twin Towers
Not just the massacre
But it’s a day to remember
All the lives that have sacrificed
All the mom’s and dad’s
All the son’s and daughter’s
That didn’t come home
Because they died for our freedom
They lived for our struggles
The soldiers
The police officers
The EMT’s
The firefighters
Remember their sacrifices
Then and everyday before and after
Remember, especially today
Remember.
